Book Summary: (Per the Author's website)
Abel Jin and Delilah Johnson have lived their lives with a hole in their soul, yearning for something they don’t understand.
Until one night Delilah is in mortal danger and a man who’s otherworldly strong and supernaturally fast saves her. Delilah is then cast into a world where fiction comes to life in the form of Abel, her destined mate, a vampire/werewolf hybrid who claims her at first breath as his.
But Abel knows the danger isn’t done. He’s dreamed for centuries that his mate will perish and he will stop at nothing to keep her safe.
For Delilah, she’s not only coping with fantasy come to life, but a mingling of very different families. Not to mention, she has on her hands a man who doesn’t understand his true nature and has lived his long life thinking he’s a monster.
Abel and Delilah together fills the hole that has been clawing at them for decades. But finally finding each other, it also tips their destinies as the last of The Three. They must unite with the other destined lovers, who with Abel and Delilah, are fated to save the world.
Or die trying.
My Thoughts:
The story of Delilah and Abel was a great story to complete the series, though I was sad to see it end.  I hope there is a way to bring these characters back and see how they all are doing!

I loved how Abel was so strong, but so doubting of himself because of his not understanding what he truly was.  The angst that is displayed in his internal thoughts and dialogue with Delilah and later on his new "brothers" was beautiful to read and heart wrenching to experience.  I feel that is one of my favorite things about KA books.  The way she writes brings me, or you the reader, into her story in such a way that it is like we know the characters and feel what they are experiencing.  Delilah was crazy and actually somewhat unrelatable to me, but I loved her because of that.  I could never just pack up and leave, get attacked and fall in love and accept so many CRAZY things that quickly or wholeheartedly.  However, while it was somewhat tweaking me that she did, especially since the other books showed the females more hesitent to follow the line, there is a key section in the book that when I read it...ding ding ding..clicked and made me love her!

This story has the BEST secondary characters, in my opinion, of the Three Series AND I love that there is like a second mini story of love and humor (which hopefully will be built into another whole story) between Yuri and Aurora.  The side stories of her father, his friends, the other vampires, the biker community enriched this story and added many dimensions to an already fantastic series.  I wondered how she would build a community in this story since Abel did not know other vampires or werewolves and while not expecting to see bikers, can that ever be wrong...NO!

This was a fantastic, and in a few key aspects surprising, ending to the trilogy.  I felt going into each book that yes there would be some heartache, but that the Three would live.  I mean how can there be romances if the three die? So without spoilers yes this book has some death scenes (left me in tears and on one shock), but it is not who I expected.

Memorable Quotations
he lifted his head and looked right to me.  And my world stopped.  But my tears didn't.

I knew no matter what became of me, I'd live wild and free and full for the rest of my life.  Because he would give that to me. And watching him pour those words into my soul, part of it died, knowing I couldn't give him the same thing.

"Acceptance is a word not in Delilah Johnson's vocabulary," "I am sure you've noted why." ..."because she sees no difference.  She doesn't have to accept, because she doesn't even begin to judge."...."The power of that, Lucien, coupled with her capacity for love, loyalty, hope...There is nothing more powerful than that on the planet.  Delilah is not all that we are.  Delilah represents all that we can be."

Items to enhance your read
If you have read KA before or new to her books, you will quickly find that she loves music and ties it into her books so beautifully!  Many books have led me to songs and artists that I have never heard, but when I look them up and listen it completely takes the story or that scene in the story to the next level.  If you like learning more or having extra components to your reading, check out her website because she talks more about the music she puts into the books, the recipes her characters use and love, etc.
