Coming to Hale by Marie James, Book Review

Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
The only time she trusted someone with her heart, she was just a girl; he betrayed her and left her humiliated. Since then, Lorali Bennett has let that moment in time dictate her life.

Ian Hale, sexy as sin business mogul, has never had more than a passing interest in any particular woman, until a chance encounter with Lorali, leaves a lasting mark on him.

Their fast paced romance is one for the record books, but what will happen when Ian’s secrets come to light? Especially when those secrets will cost her everything she spent years trying to rebuild.

This is a standalone contemporary novel. The next book in the Hale series is Alexa and Garrett’s story: Begging for Hale.

Recommended for readers 18 and up due to strong language and explicit sexual content.

My Thoughts
Hot. Very well-written story about a couple that both have trust issues, but find love and trust with each other.  I agree with the 18+ comment at the bottom of the blurb.

Moving away from the sexual content and language, I love this story.  I thought the dynamic between the couple, the miscommunication leading to the trust issues, the way their concerns irritated and/or helped their relationship progress I found extremely likable, relate able and funny.  I enjoyed that both Lorali and Ian were well developed, shared their POV, slowly started sharing with the others and had friends or family in the background.  There were several scenes in this book that I thought were very sweet or moving, but my favorite two scenes would be Ian and Marie at the door and then Ian and Lorali at the police station.  I personally found that hilarious and sweet especially since Ian took Lorali back to Marie afterwards.

Randomly, the only problem I had- if it is even a problem- is the name Lorali.  The only other time I have read/heard Lorali was in the Gilmore Girls so I kept getting distracted! The next Hale book is a stand alone as well, but I hope to see more of Ian and Lorali!
