Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
One summer can change everything...

Haunted with guilt after his girlfriend’s death, Daniel Hudson has no interest in committing to anyone. At the end of the summer, he’ll be leaving Florida for a new start in college. If only he could avoid the mysterious new girl in town, who seems every bit as naive and eccentric as she looks. Trouble is, she’s hard to ignore, with her beautiful piercing eyes, pitiful-looking dog, and unsettling tendency of finding trouble.

Clover Scott lived her whole life off the grid and arrives on the Gulf coast in search of her grandparents. She never expected to nearly drown, or get caught in a hurricane, or fall in love with the boy who rescues her. Now, she has a chance to rewrite her life’s story, to finally fit in somewhere, but Daniel wants answers about her past. When the police start asking questions about the disappearance of her parents, she must make a choice: go to jail or confess her secrets—even if they might destroy her chance at a happily-ever-after.

My Thoughts
I loved everything, EVERYTHING, about this book.  If you read my blog you know I always find nice things to say about a book/product and then in a sentence or two will also say an issue if I had one with it.  Not here, nope, not needed, won't happen.  I can't stop thinking about this story, the characters, the twists and how much I enjoyed it!

Each character is well developed and so relate-able.  The book shows the growth that they experience individually and through their interactions with family/friends/community. There are quirks with each of the teens, parents and other adults in this story that I found enjoyable and harsh, just as if I was in the room for these conversations (aka mom questioning Clover at the pool)!  The plot and character twists of this book were perfectly timed, planned and executed.  I couldn't even..that letter...that letter changed so much and the timing of it... I think I would have passed out or just started hysterically laughing/crying.  The writing style was fluid and the story was a non-stop page turner for me.  As in, I started out with the idea of reading a chapter before bed...wrong..several hours later I finished and just wanted more!

This is KF's debut novel, and I for one cannot wait to read more from her!  By that, I mean any books, but I would love to see more about Amelia and Sam, Sam and Clover, Clover and Daniel...oh just everyone!  My last word about this story is regarding the title and cover.  As I read more of the story and finished it I enjoyed the title, its meaning and the cover even more!
