Back, But Different : Part 1

I thought I was returning to blogging in 2020 and was very excited about the new website name and returning to writing about books, movies, fashion and just where my thoughts went.  Obviously that did not occur and as my first post as I attempt to return to some normalcy I thought I would share about what 2020 and 2021 has meant to my family and me. 2020 and 2021 have challenged us all and in different ways.   2020 was rough.  In fact I thought it was the worst year of my life as I lost my furbaby Scarlett and then my dad was hospitalized a week later and spent the next five months going between emergency surgeries and skilled nursing locations.  My mom and I could not get into him and he faced a lot of setbacks.  Then, when we thought we were turning a curve, my mom got sick and my family quickly found out that 2021 was going to be worse. The ending took us through several weddings and big events, while leaving a cliffhanger involving Kara’s family. Gansett love...
