My Thoughts
I am still conflicted on my favorite man that KA has introduced into our lives..but y'all Cher is most certainly in my top three favorite female characters that KA has brought to life for us! She is so tough, so caring, so funny, so sweet, so macho and so feminine all at the same time...her character is certainly one of the easiest to love and the epitome of cool! I read this book the week it came out, but I have held off on writing a review because I enjoyed the book so much and I wanted to see if I felt the same after some time had passed and I read some other books...and yes oh yes I do!!
This story concludes the 'Burg series and does so with flair, spice and love. Now it is not hard to tell that I enjoy the writing style, story lines, characters, etc. from KA, but there is something about this book and the couple it involves that I was captured from the get-go. I think it is because Cher had been introduced in one book, but had to me, such important quick roles and conversations in many other 'Burg stories that I wanted her to find the happiness, the dream and more. I thought the way that that her introduction to this series had somewhat of a final closure was the epitome of creative and crazy good story telling. The ending and then follow up had me in tears (good ones...but tears)! I could not even handle some of the speeches, squealed with some of the relationships we found out about and swooned over the never ending love, humor and respect the couples the 'Burg introduced us to shared even as time passed.
I always say one should try out a KA book, but this one I think all romance loving, family oriented, friend centric but tough independent people would relate, enjoy and love!...now how close are we to her next book..Walk Through Fire..?!?!?!?! (That's right friends..42 days!!!!)
