Book Summary (Per Goodreads)
Flora Dane is a victim.

Seven years ago, carefree college student Flora was kidnapped while on spring break. For 472 days, Flora learned just how much one person can endure.

Flora Dane is a survivor.

Miraculously alive after her ordeal, Flora has spent the past five years reacquainting herself with the rhythms of normal life, working with her FBI victim advocate, Samuel Keynes. She has a mother who’s never stopped loving her, a brother who is scared of the person she’s become, and a bedroom wall covered with photos of other girls who’ve never made it home.

Flora Dane is reckless.

. . . or is she? When Boston detective D. D. Warren is called to the scene of a crime—a dead man and the bound, naked woman who killed him—she learns that Flora has tangled with three other suspects since her return to society. Is Flora a victim or a vigilante? And with her firsthand knowledge of criminal behavior, could she hold the key to rescuing a missing college student whose abduction has rocked Boston? When Flora herself disappears, D.D. realizes a far more sinister predator is out there. One who’s determined that this time, Flora Dane will never escape. And now it is all up to D. D. Warren to find her.

My Thoughts
LG does not disappoint.  Ever. I think my mouth was open in shock or "no way" for over 75% of the book.

Gripping, captivating, compelling...all words that are true and accurate in regards to how engaged I was with this story.  I could not put it down. In fact, I felt like I was reading what has to be everyone's worst nightmare.  My lord, all those days in a coffin and when not in a coffin it was not any better.  The twists in this book, I am not going to lie, I was not sure which way this book was going to take me by the end.  The POV of this book was great.  I enjoyed reading what several of the characters were thinking.  My favorite is when Flora referred to how she felt, how she would have felt before the kidnapping and how she wishes she could feel now..aka Flora 2.0 and more.

Flora is hard for me to describe.  To say I liked her seems too tame for her personality.  At times I was fascinated, enjoyed, shocked, and more emotions in terms of relating to her.  But can one relate to her and what all LG has her experience in this story?  Flora's mother is queen.  That woman embodies the idea of a spine of steel.  The FBI agent..just the way LG described him..I think we all need to meet him. D.D. Warren..let's talk about a strong female lead ...love it!  I won't use names here, but the main villain in this story..epic..definitely up there on my list of favorite (aka most twisted and developed) villains.

The initial kidnapping was horrific, but when Flora disappears again, wow is this scene twisted.  So many feels and shocks and at times confusion which all lead to what I considered one heck of a fantastic ending.
