General Information
Genre: YA Romance/Fiction, Time-Travel
Published: November 6, 2013

Book Summary (Per Smashwords)
When Petra Baron goes into the fortuneteller’s tent at a Renaissance fair, she expects to leave with a date to prom. Instead, she walks out into Elizabethan England, where she meets gypsies, a demon dog and a kindred spirit in Emory Ravenswood.

Emory must thwart the plans of religious zealots. His mission is dangerous, his enemies are fanatical, and Petra Baron is a complication that Heaven only knows he does not need. Or does he? Although Emory is on Heaven’s errand, he learned long ago that Heaven does not always play fair.

As Petra slowly falls for Emory, she wonders if he really is who he seems, or if he is just as lost as she is. How can they have a future while trapped in the past? Or is anything possible Beyond the Fortuneteller’s Tent?

My Thoughts
I think I am on some sort of fantastic reading journey because I just finished this book and it is my third in a row where I am just blown away by how AMAZING the story is/was.  Normally I love reading, but I do not find many books to be a 5 star.  This one my lovelies is most certainly 5 stars!  It has action, sci-fi, family drama, teenage drama, romance, history, humor, intrigue, religion and more.  How it has more and keeps a cohesive story I don't know, but Kristy Tate (KT) provides that in spades in this story!

I knew I enjoyed this book when I finished it, but I knew I LOVED this story when I picked my mom up from work and promptly told her about the entire storyline, characters, historical elements, aka the works.  It must have sounded amazing though because mom was like um what is the name of that book!  One of the things I liked the most about this story was the amount of detail given, but also the way each scene created more facts that still led to more questions.  At the end of this story I wanted to know more about Emory and why he is where he is and who he is.  What about Zoe..she seems to have an interesting insight into who her sister really is.  More thoughts and questions exist, but I do not want to write a book about my thoughts and things I hope to see in the next book (that's right..the next book) because while I did not know it when I started reading the book this is the first in a series.  I have a few more books to read that I promised reviews on, but you can bet your bippy that I have the second book in this series at the very top of my TBR list!  Another aspect of the story was how each of the characters evolved during the story.  Their development and growth was extremely relate-able and believable!  It created a richness to the story because it took a somewhat sci-fi component of time travel and brought it into a realm of realism because it was concerns, questions and more that I believe we would have or face if that situation did occur. Loved this story and characters!!

Here We Go

Oh wow...it has been a minute! While I have been reading, cooking and gardening away with my furbabies, especially during these crazy times, I have not been up to date on my blog.  I meant my absence to be short and to change platforms, but I could not find another platform that worked for me.  The main reason I wanted a new platform was because I wanted my website to just be my name and not have blogger or blogspot behind it... Well color me surprised when I randomly checked my blog and saw that was now an option! As of today my blog has my proper website name and I am going to start working on it again.  Thank you for those who have been checking in, emailing me and following along on other social media sites!
