Book Summary (Per NetGalley)
Wheat Belly Total Health answers the question, "What's next in the battle against wheat?" In his follow-up to the mega bestseller, Wheat Belly, Dr. Davis helps his readers take command over their life and health in the aftermath of wheat. There are many strategies that will help heal the damage caused by years of a wheat-filled diet. And many of these lessons have been learned in the years since the original Wheat Belly was released, lessons played out on the broad public stage of over one million readers, all participating in this grand adventure.

Reordering your life after wheat is about learning how to regain full metabolic, gastrointestinal, thyroid, cardiovascular, hormonal, sleep, neurological, bone, and joint health. Understanding the strategies and putting them to use can take health several steps higher, even if the reader has already had a major health success without wheat. In addition to achieving better health in many different areas, life performance also improves in virtually all settings. In the life after wheat, you'll feel unrestrained, unimpaired, and unstoppable!

My Thoughts
Tons of information, data and suggestions. Tons.  However, in this field where so many people hear gluten or wheat free but don't know what to trust or where to look for credible information it is incredibly reassuring to have this book where you can find the science, the application and tips and tricks to follow for successfully improving your health.  However, if you are one who believes that no diet, way of life, etc. should include cutting out entire types of food (minus allergies) you will have issues with this book and premise.

I had not read any of the other books, blog, etc. from William Davis before reading this book.  After reading it I have spent time on his website and blog frequently learning more about the how and why of wheat free and improving my health.  In this book and his online presence the information is very easy to follow and understand.  So far all questions I have come up with have been addressed in another area of the book or on his website.  I am very impressed with the depth of knowledge and research he presented, but also how he takes that knowledge and turns it into ways for the everyday person to improve their health and life.

Now, this is not a fast read, but it is very informative and helpful.  Really, any health book hopefully isn't a fast read as it pertains to you making life and health changes. I did not read this cover to cover, but rather worked my self around and through the book based off of the area I was most intrigued by or had questions regarding at that time.

Here We Go

Oh wow...it has been a minute! While I have been reading, cooking and gardening away with my furbabies, especially during these crazy times, I have not been up to date on my blog.  I meant my absence to be short and to change platforms, but I could not find another platform that worked for me.  The main reason I wanted a new platform was because I wanted my website to just be my name and not have blogger or blogspot behind it... Well color me surprised when I randomly checked my blog and saw that was now an option! As of today my blog has my proper website name and I am going to start working on it again.  Thank you for those who have been checking in, emailing me and following along on other social media sites!
